Rage Against the Machine for Christmas Number 1? « Result #4 on Dec 18, 2009, 11:23am »
Anyone else interested in this "race"? Rage is slightly ahead at the moment and you can buy the song for 29p ot help out.
It doesn't look like Rage will end up number 1 unless there's a big final push as the schmaltzy reality tv show winning song is likely to pip them to the post tomorrow.
Also, Carina sings lead vocals on Rev22:20 far as I can tell. The song is from the Underworld film soundtrack.
I thought that was her but couldn't tell definitively. Especially since there is a second female singer (Laura Milligan). Interestingly, Maynard sings the song sometimes and sometimes they alternate verses. It's nice that the available recording is completely Carina.
Is Carina singing in place of Milla Jovovich on the Mission live? I'm not sure the Actress would have time for a live tour.
No, Miss Jovovich is not involved at all with the tour. Carina was asked to do the tour because Juliette Commagere (who previusly held the spot) was not available.

I've added details for Carina with Puscifer to CarinaLive Not many of the reviews mention Carina specifically, but there's many great Carina pics and some videos.
Aren't there any western US Carina members here who've seen any of the shows and can comment specifically on her?
If Puscifer decides to hit the eastern US and Carina's still with them, I'll certainly go see it.
However, in the UK she's done in 2007 11 gigs, 2008 15 gigs, 2009 9 gigs. To me, that's a lot of shows for a country that, geographically, is so much smaller than the US.
It really isn't a lot of shows, it's next to nothing in the scheme of things. It's a difficult situation because touring costs so much money but unless you're doing masses of shows each year it's really hard to gain a lot of momentum.
Going to shows is completely different comparing the UK to the US, people in the US don't really think much of having to drive a few hours to get to a show they want to get to. I'd say that in the UK unless a show is less than an hour travel away then most people don't bother.
Re: Things You Should Know EP « Result #20 on Oct 31, 2009, 3:58pm »
IMHO it might be smooth but I attribute that to maturity and/or a change in delivery direction. As for famous, "Backseat" might become her most famous song to date.
I think every song on the record reeks with emotion. "Do You" and possibly "Thief In The Sky" and "For Everything A Reason" certainly contain the patended Carina anger. However, saddness and reminiscance seem to be the perveying sentiments here. "Backseat" and "Please Don't Stop" both have positivity but also provoke a saddness.
The songs are a bit more dreamy than her previous recordings but I find it every bit as intense as any of her work. Performed live with a full band, these songs are just as strong as any of her others.
I haven't done a close examination but I don't hear much electric guitar here. Perhaps that's what makes it sound so different to you.
I find very little about this record to be mainstream and I see very little American influence. I guarrantee you, live, she's as intense as she's always been.
