Ok, so I thought it was about time I updated some features on this board. It will just be minor alterations at the moment but some feedback would be great.
So far...
- I've adjusted the member rankings and titles so now:
0-49 posts = Newbie (1 star)
50-99 posts = Active Member (2 stars)
100-499 posts = Fan (3 green stars)
500-999 posts = Fanatic (4 blue stars)
1000+ = Groupie (5 red stars)
Is everyone happy with that? I thought the titles would be a bit more fun that just 'member', 'senior member' etc. The new titles are just what I could think of off the top of my head. If anyone has other suggestions which they think would be better please post them in this thread.
- Secondly, should I change the 'View the 10 most recent posts of this forum'? I can increase it by anything up to the 100 most recent posts? I was thinking of upping it to maybe 20-25? Thoughts?
- The last thing I was thinking of adding is the 'karma' feature. Essentially it's just a feature whereby you have the option to give a fellow forum member karma points which will diplay next to their username and rank. You might do this if, for example, someone makes a really interesting and/or useful post, provides files or links etc. I think it is also possible to subtract karma from people in the same way but I would encourage against this as on some other forums this kind of practice can lead to petty fights and is just generally a bit sad 
Anyway there's a few ideas for now. Let me know what you think and please feel free to suggest anything else you would like to see implented into the board. I'll try to meet needs provided the software means the request is possible!

Thanks, I'm trying to be on here a bit more regularly now.
I've just enabled the karma and updated the recent post summary to 20 now.
I need to overhaul the whole design really. This forum is still in it's 'The Disconnection' skin. I tried to make a SMA version but couldn't get the colours quite right. If anyone is a bit more tech savvy and can (and would like to) help out with graphics etc then just get in touch.

Ha,ha, Steve, that was a shock to my bleary tired eyes!  But it's gone black again now!  I like all your new ideas, and think 20 -25 recent posts would be about right, too many and it get's confusing! Enjoy the game tomorrow night!

Haha yeah, still tweaking the colour scheme! It's really fiddly to get right! It should actually stay in the new theme when you log in but for some reason it's not working so I'm trying to figure out why!
If you log out again it will revert back to the new (unfinished) design. Please let me know what you think and anything you like/dislike. I'm trying to get the design to match as closely as possible to the Slow Motion Addict album.
After that, next thing is to add some a selection of Carina themed avatars for everyone to choose from (especially if they don't already have one of their own already).

Ok, so I figured out why the new theme/skin was not working initially - you just have to enable it! Not just me as the administrator but all members! In other words, you have a choice to use the new skin or keep the old Disconnection skin.

Who's a clever girl then, I actually managed to change my profile!  I like the new photos of Carina, I was a bit bored with old one. She's a lovely woman, I don't understand why she's not on everywhere. Looks good, and sounds brilliant. I can't keep up with all your new postings Steve! Life must have changed for you in some way!
