Managed to nap a copy of Melissa Auf Der Maur's solo album and have been listening to that a bit...
Very good musically but a little bit disappointing overall as it doesnt have a lot of decent songs on it...

not a massive F4AF fan but they were good when I saw them live! Escape artists and she drove me to daytime TV are really great!
today it was: Courtney Love-america's sweethearts as a massive Nirvana/Kirt fan who supposedly hates CLove i feeel as though I might be being slightly hypocritical buying and loving her album but I can't help but love it! plus I think she is becoming nicer-I had that dream about her and she was throwing a brookstick out the window!
now i'm listening to CLove-all the drugs

Courtney goes off on a strange one every now and then, but she's essentially a decent perspn. I got to meet her once, many years ago, when Hole were touring Pretty On The Inside. She was nice enough to me, despite there being enough arseholes in the audience to put anyone in a general bad mood for the rest of the night. She hadn't even met Kurt then, it was that long ago.
None of the later albums really impressed me much, as she took more of a grungey direction. I wish her well though.
Have you checked out her old friends and colleagues Babes In Toyland? They can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned, and they still do the occasional tour so it's not too late to catch 'em live.
