The one article states 11 songs. To date, these are the songs I assume to be included (not in any particular order)...
The Last Time Bits of the studio recording appeared in a 2010 video clip. The finished studio version was released on the 45 in November 2011. Presumably, this is the version which will be on the album. Live versions also appeared in 2011.
Girl And The Ghost The finished studio version was played on KCRW in 2010. A fragment appeared in a video. Live versions appeared in 2010 through 2011. A "Puscifer Remix" appeared on "The Last Time" 45. It is not the same as the version played on KCRW (but it's close).
Pick Up The Phone A portion of the finished studio version appeared in the TV show Pretty Little Liars in 2011. Two rehearsal versions appeared in videos in 2010. Live versions appeared in 2011.
Got To Go Recording for this began during the Things You Should Know sessions. Three segments of the studio version appeared in videos in 2010. Live versions first appeared in late 2008 and continued through 2011.
You And Me A segment of the finished studio version appeared in a video 2010. Live versions appeared in 2010 through 2011. One of which is a full band. It's likely it would be the most representative of the studio track
Mother's Pride A long segment of the studio version appeared in a video along with live versions in 2011.
Set Fire This song first appeared in 2011 in a video of a great acoustic performance. Carina opened her fall 2011 shows with full band performances of it. No Studio version has appeared.
Simplicity Hurts This was listed by Carina on Facebook in 2011 as being on the album. Several impromptu and live versions have appeared for years but no proper studio version is evident.
You Will Be Loved This was listed by Carina on Facebook in 2011 as being on the album. The studio recording was played on KCRW in Feb. 2012.
The Secret Of Drowning This was recorded in late 2009. An article in 2012 lists it as on the album. This is the one song on this list that we have no clue at all how it sounds.
Weird Dream Recording for this began during the Things You Should Know sessions. It is listed on the track board in photos from those sessions. Carina performed it live in late 2011 where she stated all songs she was playing were from the upcoming album. No studio recording has surfaced.

I've heard the album and thought I'd write a brief review. This is just a quick workman-like summation of the album. No colorful words. Just a bit of info to let you know what I hear. Likewise, I don't try to interpret Carina's meaning in the songs. Just simply how they sound
One thing you can say about Carina's albums is that none of them sound like any of the others. Things You Should Know hinted at the direction Carina was going. Some of these songs saw initial work during those sessions. This album sees that direction fully realized. Carina once told me that she doesn't like the PJ Harvey comparisons but, with its studio sheen and big sound, Tigermending puts me in mind of Harvey's Stories From The City/Stories From The Sea - that's a good thing.
The album features much orchestration, large harmony choruses, sound effects and a general BIG sound. The sound is big like Slow Motion Addict but, where as that album was rather in-your-face rock, this album has the dreamy quality of Things You Should Know.
I also commend Dan Burns in a great recording. You can hear the studio. I could close my eyes and imagine I'm sitting in the room with the band.
01. Pick Up The Phone This is rather low-key as an album opener but the cool groove pulls you in quite quickly. It's very similar to the rehearsal version Carina posted on the internet a while back as well as similar to her recent live performances.
02. The Last Time Everyone has probably heard this one. It appears to be the same as the single version and the video version found all around the internet. Nice to hear Smudge's (I presume) double bass on this one.
03. The Girl And The Ghost If you've heard the Puscifer Remix of this song, you'll have the general idea how this sounds. This version has a moment of sound in the intro and additional fiddly bits not heard on the version played on KCRW last year. This is less techno than the Puscifer mix and is generally more rocking and powerful. There are pounding drums in the intro and choruses not heard on the Puscifer mix. This would have fit well on Slow Motion Addict. I prefer this version over the Puscifer mix. If you've heard any of Carina's recent live performances, they are very close to this mix.
04. You And Me With its simple beginning and grand chorus build up, this one is very reminisant of "Backseat". There are several acoustic live versions of this floating around which don't do this song justice. In the studio, this is a great piece of music perfectly evoking emotions of friendship and love.
05. Set Fire This is by far my favorite of Carina's new batch of songs. However, personally, I much prefer the acoustic version in the church - to me, it's much more powerful and emotional. That's not to say there's anything at all wrong with this version. It works perfectly in the context of the album. While this version is a bit more mellow than the church version (even though it's a full band), it's much darker in its sounds. Carina's recent live full band performances played the song essentially as heard here but with a heavier delivery. Most notably in the guitar level in the mix.
06. You Will Be Loved This is a soft lovely rather lilting song with dynamic moments. When I first heard this on KCRW recently, it seemed a bit of a departure for Carina's sound but, in the context of this album, it's ideal.
07. Marcel Marcel/The Arrangement This song sounds like it's direct out of the early 1980s. The band Quarterflash comes to mind. Chunky close-mic'd guitar, big snare sound, big harmony singing and lots of studio sheen.
08. Weird Dream A quirky song with a cool beat that, about half way through, explodes into a cacophony of sound through to the end. This sounds exactly like Carina's recent live performances of the song.
09. Mother's Pride This is another one sounding exactly like recent live performances. As the title might imply, this song is not about something good. The sentiment is quite bitter and angry and is delivered as thus. On a personal side, I really like this song but there's something about the phrasing of the verses that I doesn't quite sit well with me. I can't really explain what it is.
10. The Secret Of Drowning This is rather dark and almost scarey. Ethereal, industrial and orchestral all at the same time. Reminds me of Pergatory.
11. Simplicity Hurts It's really nice to finally hear a proper studio version of this lovely song. I've always liked this song but the many acoustic guitar performances available out there don't do it justice. This version works prefectly. Gone is the acoustic guitar with orchestral instruments in its place.
12. Got To Go As you probably know, this is only part of the album as a bonus digital download when purchasing one of the media variations of album. Personally, I wish it had been included ON the album. Two mixes will be available but I've only heard the Billy Corgan mix and can't speak for how the other mix sounds. This version is very similar to the May 13, 2009 performance found on YouTube.
Note too, bonus downloads with the vinyl version of the album include live versions of "Set Fire" and "Weird Dream" (presumably from Carina's recent tours with Puscifer). I haven't heard those but, considering the audience recorded versions as well as seeing them performed live and the presumption that these are proper soundboard recordings, they sould sound great.

Spot on with the review. I also was hoping "Got to Go" would make the album. It's still cool to get as a download. I pre-ordered the CD and Vinyl. Can't wait and looking forward to the extra live tracks.

I have heard most of the songs randomly over the internet. I was given a download link to "got to go" with my pre-order for the vinyl and CD. Carina also made an alternative version of "you and me" available as a download on her soundcloud. Not sure how long it will be there. There is also "the last time" remix contest. You can get all the tracking as 16bit 44.1 pcm wavs. I wish I still had my home studio! I need to brush up on my audio production skills Anyone trying the remix?

Gosh, it's finally time!! I didn't order the vinyl but rather the CD, so I'm hoping she puts those live versions on Soundcloud at some point. Saw her twice last year, once in London then with Puscifer, so getting a taste of the album with those two sets was almost pure torture!

To those of you that pre-ordered through topspinmedia there may be a delay with our shipments. I received an email on 5-7 stating they are still waiting for the merchandise from the factory. Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't a pre-ordered item ship on the release date?

Mine came this past Saturday and I only pre ordered it (through Top Spin) at nearly midnight on April 30th. I didn't expect it to show up that fast.

I've given this album several listens now, and I think it is a masterpiece. It involves several genres of music, and all are pulled off with aplomb. Her most adventurous album yet, and I suspect it is somewhat due to working with a variety of different musicians over the last 3 or 4 years (as well as Carina's innate song-writing ability). Stand out tracks for me are Pick Up The Phone, The Last Time, Weird Dream, Mother's Pride, The Secret Of Drowning and You And Me. I've loved the latter since I first saw and heard it a while back performed in someone's garden in L.A.(?) with friends. A brilliant live singalong song. Can't believe Mojo magazine hasn't reviewed it yet. Have they not received a promo copy?

One track that has REALLY grown on me is "You Will Be Loved". I first heard it a long time ago when KCRW played it but wasn't necessarily impressed. However, when I got the album, I thought it worked well in context. But then I saw her perform it live in Chicago in July and was simply blown away by it. I also like the Baeble Music stripped down version a lot, too.
My favorite on the album and possibly my favorite Carina song is "Set Fire". However, I much prefer the Dickies acoustic only version in the church.
