For those of you who have already managed to get hold of a copy of the new album (mine's in the post hopefully soon! what do you reckon? How does it compare to The First Blood Mystery?

The Disconnection is really, really great, particularly 'Into My Blood', 'Lacuna', 'Monument', 'Sit Tight' and 'Paris'. Motel 74 seems to be a rapid grower too. Still don't like 'Shoot' too well, but it's growing on me quickly...

I've only listened to it once so far but it's on my iPod now so I can listen to it later at work.
Very good from what I can tell, more lavishly produced than the first album. Needs more listens though.

I don't have it yet, on account of record shops in Walsall being crap.

Wow, I'm from Walsall (well Brownhills anyway)!
The shops aren't great but I'm surprised that none of them have the album. Maybe not Virgin but Sundown & bridge used to be pretty reliable.
I work in Brum now so there is an abundance of good shops.

Still don't like 'Shoot' too well, but it's growing on me quickly... I changed my mind - the whole album fucking rocks, especially Motel 74 and Lacuna, but all the others too. I think 'elegy' is a lovely ending too, and great to see it move quite so defiantly away from the first blood mystery in being so soft...

Oh you bought it now?! Yeah it's really good! I listened to it about 3 times in a row on 'shuffle' last night! Love Into My Blood but I knew that before I got the album! Have to familiarise myself more with all the track titles soon but I remember thinking Shoot and Motel 74 were great (the one with the slide guitar?)!

Been looking for it for ages because Danni has been bugging me to get it Had a big double take moment when I saw it in Virgin, and it was £2.99! Took it to the counter and the barcode said £12.99, but I showed the woman the label and she changed the price and said I was lucky. Very lucky. It's brilliant, especially Lacuna and Paris. And every other track ;D
