She didn't say whether she would be back for a solo gig or with her band, neither was it clear whether she meant a one-off gig or a tour.

Yes, she did do Simplicty Hurts - sounded good. Can't wait for the next album. I've got a feeling it could be more accoustic.

Thanks for all this info folks, I'm a bit miffed I didn't go now! Very interesting about Carina coming back here, I wonder what's happened to her band, is she going to do a PJ?

I've been a fan of Carina's for some time now, loved her since First Blood Mystery and have seen her in concert several times. I don't need to tell anybody who's reading this that she's utterly fantastic, as well as being a really nice person. I would have loved to have been there, but for one small problem....I didn't know about it.
I must have signed up to several of Carina's websites in several different incarnations (I still get spam from one of them), but I'm not one to regularly check websites, especially as I've always found Carina's to be fussy, difficult to read and too often really out of date. It was only by sheer chance that, on Thursday night, I flicked open Time Out and saw that she was playing, and by that time it was too late. I spoke to another big fan over the weekend, who had also been unaware of the gig, and is also upset.
So, is there some sort of info system, some e-mail system that actually works? I'm betting I wasn't the only Carina fan who missed out on this one.

Well I have to agree with you adamk! I'm a fairly new fan, only a couple of years, but I've never seen her name anywhere! I do have time to check this forum, but I think that's the one big failing around Carina altogether. There is just no advertising or web site that informs you of upcoming gigs. I suppose it's because she hasn't got a record deal, even if she is brilliant!

If people want this then PM your name and an email address and i can sort something out

A good way of hearing about Carina's gigs if you're not going to check this forum or myspace regularly (shame on you ), is subscribing to www.ents24.com and get alerts on any of her shows e-mailed to you.
