I'll be at the Brum one tomorrow.
I actually dreamed last night that I was at a Carina gig, and that she was handing out free soft toy giraffes. I hope that's a good omen.

Unable to make either gig . Pressures of work too great at the moment. Should be able to see her if she announces a gig a bit nearer my home.

Excellent show last night! Setlist was a good mix of old, medium & new! New stuff sounds great, can't wait for that to be released!
Don't know about soft toy Giraffes, but there was a bloke there last night with a knackered toy tiger...

I'd like to see more tigers at gigs. Felines in general, in fact.
I really wish that tonights gig was a-week-and-a-bit earlier. It'll be the twentieth time that I've seen Carina, but if it was on the 30th of May it'd also be exactly ten years since the first time I saw her.

Have to echo ecosid's comments - it was an excellent gig last night.
The first support band also deserve a mention too, not sure how to describe them besides 'awesome'.

Dingwalls was awesome, although Saturday night's show in my living room was even better

Has she been Noisyrina (loads of clanging and shrieking guitar etc) at all of these gigs, or was it just Brum?
Birmingham was fun, although not the "greatest gig evaaarrr" type levels for me that it seems to have been for some others. Highlights were a really sexy version of "Motel 74", and "Four To The Floor" with your man there Miles Hunt. I thought the backing singers worked really well, too.
I had to leave halfway through though, of course, as this is the custom at The Hare And Hounds with its late-running gigs.

Dingwalls was awesome, although Saturday night's show in my living room was even better You bought a private show? Tell us more!It was EPIC. I had about 20 of my friends over, and Carina came across with her manager Melissa. She played two sets, totalling about an hour and a half, just Carina and her acoustic guitar, no amps or microphones. I'd sent a list of 12 of my favourite songs in advance, with a request that she pick a few to include in the set... she played 11 of them The twelfth was far too noisy for that environment (being Into My Blood), but she played it at Dingwalls instead. Set list: Set One: January Heart Paris Stolen Car Do You Pick Up The Phone Spanish Burn (Early Winters) Set Two: Come To You Backseat Please Don't Stop For One Time In Your Life (Early Winters) You & Me For Everything A Reason Hot Stuff (Donna Summer) Elegy And for anyone who is interested, Dingwalls was a full, noisy set with Tom Livemore on guitar, the drummer from First Blood on drums, plus bass and two backing singers with the following set-list (order might be a bit out) You & Me Motel 74 Girl & The Ghost Pick Up The Phone How I See It Paris Backseat Let It Fall Lightbulb Song Come To You (duet with Gary Go) The Last Time On Leaving Mother's Pride Into My Blood Encore: Overcome

Dead jealous! But thanks for the report. First one I've heard from someone who's actually had a private show. Did you record it for posterity?
