Don't think we've had one of these threads yet so I'm making one as I want some film recommendations!
I'm probably going to watch Lost in Translation tonight (yeah I like watching movies in the middle of the night) as loads of people have been raving about it and actually I had thought it looked interesting anyway before all the hype.
Which movies has everyone else seen recently that they found inspiring, thought provoking, moving, funny, mindlessly entertaining even??

I've seen Igby Goes Down. It was ok, nothing to rave about... except for Amanda Peet of course

I've seen Igby ... quite liked it but it was a bit weird. Intentionally .... of course! I can't actually remember very much of what it was about now! Don't think Igby liked his mum much though!

Haven't seen either of those yet but I have just been leant (well not me personally but they are in my house) a load of films. Cold Mountain, Gothika, Freaky Friday, Paycheck, Mona Lisa Smile, School of Rock and Red Dragon...
Knowing me I'll never get around to watching them or not until next year or something! Anyway, any of those any good?

I watched The good girl with Jake Gyllenhaal and Jennifer Aniston last night, it was really really good! couldn't watch it a second time though.
And I have now taped both The lost boys and Stand by me! yay.
I thought Secretary was fantastic...maybe just for Magie Gylenhaal...
