Depressing is best in my book!! One of my favourite Tom McRae lyrics 'If words could kill, I'd spell your name' Perhaps I should start a ToMcRae in other Artistes rather than dilute Tori. kel Ok, I'll do it for you! I agree, depressing is usually best... and Tom does it very well. He's brilliant live. I've only seen him once - recently at Islington Academy. Not the best venue and I wasn't that impressed with the crowd. They were all young 'die-hard' fans who sang along to all the songs which kinda ruined it a little. But anyway, he was really impressive. You wouldn't think it from the music but he's quite a funny guy. New album is out in May I think.

Just listening to Just Like Blood, having bought it on recommendation. Rather liking it. I think it'll take a few listens, but I think I'm going to be a fan... Strange voice - sounds pitch shifted up half an octave?!

New album sounds very promising too... One of my dearest friends who adores Tom has informed me that his latest offering is a poor imitation of Damien Rice! I personally didn't think that was possible but he tells me it is so. I couldn't get into McRae as I already love Tom Waits and my turntable is not big enough for the both of them!

I did go... didn't have a spare ticket though Was a good show, although I've not seen him in a large venue before. It just isn't the same.... Enjoy Carina's smaller gigs while you can people!! I've heard people compare the two before but I can't really see/hear it.
