so, what do you make of the new album?
beekeeper has some really beautiful music on it, the harmonies and some of the piano parts are lovely... notably, jamaica inn and parasol...
but the album is just too damn long!
think it shoulda been released as four ep's... in the theme of the four gardens... two months apart... and the final one would come as a pretty box thing to keep the other three discs in....
art work and photo's are fantastic on it tho

I'm seeing Tori at Hammersmith on the Saturday.
I don't think I have any idea what the songs are about yet - any tracks in particular?

Does this mean that you think Scarlet's Walk is too long, also? *sigh* I'm so glad to have some new Tori music, but I would cut a few songs off that album if I had the power. I would cut "Cars and Guitars," "Ireland," and "Sweet the Sting." Do you have the Limited Edition with the DVD? If so, you know what I'm talking about when I say she should have put "Garlands" on the damn CD. My top favorites are "Marys of the Sea," "The Beekeeper," and "Witness." C'mon, c'mon, c'mon... ♪ For some quotes from Tori about some of the songs, go here: www.yessaid.com/toriamos.htmlClick on "The Albums" over on the left side and then click on the The Beekeeper pic. There is a list of the songs with the lyrics and there is a quotes option for quite a few of them.

I would never describe Tom McRae's music as 'nice' but he is definitely an inspired man, albeit maybe a bit depressing and cynical at times...he sure does put on a good show though. ENJOY!

Depressing is best in my book!! One of my favourite Tom McRae lyrics 'If words could kill, I'd spell your name' Perhaps I should start a ToMcRae in other Artistes rather than dilute Tori. kel
