Has anyone heard this yet?
It was featured on KCRW's Morning Becomes Ecclectic on July 27th.
The song is fantastic. In true Carina form, it builds and builds. The drumming is heavy, and the whole song is layered wonderfully with instrumentation and vocals.
I was able to hear a streaming version on the KCRW website and I think I got most of the lyrics down.
What's that coming down? Shattering skies Your whole world exploding In flashes of fire
Shards of broken dreams Stuck in your hands Pick the pieces out put them back together as best you can
Through the imperfections Through the imperfections and the cracks You will see the difference between:
What you think you know - what you know (x4)
What's that in your mirror The girl or the ghost? You tried so hard You tried so hard To let it all go
What's that in your mouth The curse or the key? You keep waving your tongue around and you'll get heard eventually.
What you think you've given Is not what the world has received Can you feel the distance between:
What you think you know - what you know (x4)
What's that in your heart? The chorus of dust afraid to sing (?) What's that in your hate? The mountain of dust in the wind (?)
What's in your hey! What's in your way? hey! hey! hey!...
You gone for so long what have you been wanting for? Can you even remember? So far out there waving your hands and screaming for somebody to remember
ooh ooh ooh.....

I'm not sure if this is better suited for General Discussion. Please feel free to move it out of Media if necessary. Thanks mods

Carina's a great lyric writer. I haven't heard the song yet, but judging by the words, it's going to be a good one.
