Last night was my 2nd time seeing Carina (the first was at the Spitz club a few weeks ago) & loved it! She was only on for 1/2 an hour or so, but what a 1/2 an hour! I haven't got to know or remember many names of her songs, so can't tell you the setlist, but I do know Paris, Lacuna, Into My Blood & Motel 74 were played, & I think Let it fall & maybe Monument, so she managed to squeeze a good amount in to her time! Went up to say something to her afterwards but turned into the soppy shy f*ck I always do when faced with such situations (dunno why, 'cos she was perfectly friendly) & just bought a single & asked her to sign it As for the other acts, didn't think much of the 1st act (sorry, can't remember her name - guess that says it all?) or of Augie March, come to that - they were a bit of an anticlimax, really!

Yeah had a really good time at the gig! Carina completely outshone the other two acts! My only disappointment was the brevity of her set which I think went as follows.
- Motel 74
- Lacuna
- Paris
- Monument
- Shoot
- Into My Blood
- Let It Fall
I have a brain like a sieve but I think this is pretty accurate though Shoot and Into My Blood may have been performed the other way round in the list...
Anyway, loved the gig! The Band sounded really powerful and Carina performed with passion and enthusiasm and seemed to be having fun!. I enjoyed her slightly mental dance moves too ;D She is exceptionally endearing and charismatic to watch on stage without even saying much!
There was a good crowd in too, which is always creates a nice atmosphere for everyone. I think most people were there for Augie March but they seemed to suitably impressed with Carina's support slot!
I had the pleasure of meeting Carina, her mum Pamela, her manager and her nan (!) later in the evening, all of whom were very nice!
There are whispers of another London gig on December 1st at the ICA in Pall Mall and possibly one at Dingwalls also. I will update you all when I know confirmed details!
