Oh my god...I just got around to watching it. Absolutely incredible performance. Took me right back to the show I went to. I had almost forgotten how amazing she was...especially during that song.

This is why Carina is so special and unique. Incidentally it doesn't play as a video on my ancient steam-driven equipment-----just a series of stills. Is this right or do I need to download something to make it play as a vid?

I have the file in a format you should be able to watch - problem is it's 20+ mb, so not sure how to get it to you...

wow! this is one great video! 'I want to be a singer like lou reed, I like lou reed, she said' - damn, that really kicks ass! tell me, is that totally improvised [which I think and am truly impressed of, what a vibe between her and the band] or is she mixing 'let it fall' with another song I don't know? extraordinary, really.

As far as I know, the "I want to be a singer like Lou Reed" is not from a song, however, the "in my room, I want you here" bit is from "I Wanna Be Your Dog" by the Stooges (Iggy Pop's original band).
Thanks again to jce for the great posts. The CarinaLive site brings new meaning to the word "exhaustive."

I highly recommend you check him out. The first two Stooges albums, _The_ Stooges_ (which contains "I Wanna Be Your Dog"), and _Fun_ House_, are absolutely essential rock & roll records, as is the next one, _Raw_ Power_, which is credited to Iggy and the Stooges (different guitar player, different approach). Without the Stooges, there would be no punk rock.
The great Iggy solo records to get are _The_Idiot_ and _Lust_For_Life_. These two feature David Bowie, who admits to being heavily influenced by Iggy.

Sorry, that last post was pretty off topic! If you like, we can start an Iggy thread in the "Other Artists" section.

" I want to be a singer like Lou Reed" is from the Pixies track "I've been Tired" - www.lyricsdepot.com/pixies/ive-been-tired.html. She often sings all of the first verse in Let It Fall. Carina is a big Pixies fan AS YOU ALL SHOULD BE!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Check out the first three albums - just superb

Aaaah, I see.... The Pixies albums I know well are _Surfer_Rosa_ and _Doolittle_. For some unknown reason (like laziness), I haven't obtained _Come_On_Pilgrim_; I didn't much like _Bossnova_, and I've never heard _Trompe_Le_Monde_ all the way through. The two records I do have are absolutely great, although I thought they were kinda boring live (maybe that's changed on this reunion tour).
