Polly arrives back in the UK next week for a very special, one-off, show at the Royal Court Theatre in London on Saturday December 11th. This will be a unique opportunity for fans to see Polly and the band play a semi-acoustic show in this extremely intimate setting; the Royal Court has a capacity of just under 400.
The show, marks the end of a very busy year for Polly, and will be one of the last performances on this tour, which officially winds up on December 17th . Tickets for the show go on-sale this coming Saturday (Dec 4th) between 10am – 8pm. Priced at £25 they will be available by phone on + 44 (0) 207 565 5000 and to personal callers at the box office of the Royal Court Theatre, Sloane Square, London SW1W8AS. Due to capacity, purchase will be restricted to a maximum of two per person/call.

Managed to get a ticket just a few minutes before it sold out (!) so tonight I'll be there! Semi-acoustic... hmm I wonder if it's going to be anything like the VH-1 session she did www.vh1.com/artists/az/harvey_pj/artist.jhtml

Tell me it's not true! I've heard a rumour PJ gave her last live performance in Paris last night.

It's not true! Well I don't believe it anyway! Link to NME [mis]reportBesides the fact that it doesn't really make any sense there have been posts on the PJ forums from people who were actually at the gig and they say that Polly said it was "our" (meaning her with the current band line up of Josh, Dingo ....Rob would stay I believe) last ever show! Not "my" last ever show! It has also been mentioned that this comment was said in a jokey way with a nod to the fact that it was the Libertines last show that night! I think just a case of poor journalism by the tabloid music press (NME) once again Hype mongers!

It certainly has put my mind at rest. How irresponsible NME is!
Thanks for clearing that up, Steve.

I'm almost certainly being very stupid and/or blind, but I can't find the link to an audio stream (apart from the listen live thing). Where is it on the page?

You are neither blind nor stupid Paddy. I think that might be my honour as there appears to be nothing much at that link! I think there was.. and now they must have moved/removed the audio stream. I do have a recording of the broadcast of this show if you really want to hear it though...

Anyone else bought/heard PJ's latest album A Woman A Man Walked By? In my opinion it's her best since Stories From The City Stories From The Sea. A nice mix of styles, including a couple of songs harking back to her raucous early best. John Parish also deserves great credit for this collaboration.

I don't think it's as good as any outright PJ Harvey album in all honesty. Black Hearted Love is a brilliant song though.
Seeing them in Oxford tomorrow, 4th time I'll have seen Polly.
