Just wondering as they are 3 of my favourite artists ever, if anyone here is a fan of Tori Amos Jewel Kilcher or Sarah Mclachlan, all have had albums out recently and both Tori and Sarah McL's are brilliant, Jewel's not quite so recent album was......interesting?

All three are damn good...
Tori rules... She is one of a kind...
Sarah is great... Total professional on stage and off...
Jewel is very good... Great vocalist but can't quite get that perfect album...

Tori absolutlely kicks ass, her new stuff is excellent at the minute, I cant belive that she is able to keep writing genius songs!
Jewel has sold out!! Her older stuff (spirit) is so warm and heartfelt, its beautiful! Her new stuff, well its commercial and quite bland! (am I being too harsh??)
Rediscovered Sarah McLachlan the other day! Hadnt listened to it in a while but with Gems such as Building a Mystery, angel and Adia I couldn't believe it had been gathering dust!!

She's in my blood. I like Sarah's music and I used to kinda like Jewel in her *early* days... but not now anymore...

Which are you favourite albums for the three artists in question?
The only Jewel albums which I actually enjoy as CDs are Spirit and 0304 (yeah you heard) as the others are way better when sung live...

This way was a good album, quite different to POY but still great, the tone was still the same in a way, now she has made 0304, I do feel she has lost it
Best Jewel songs-Foolish games(edited version), You were meant for me, hands or new wild west
Best Tori- Precious things, crucify, black dove, me and a gun
Best Sarah-Angel, adia, fear, possession (piano version)

Favourite Tori albums for me would be Little Earthquakes and Scarlets Walk...
Favourite Sarah albums of mine would Fumbling Towards Ecstasy and the B-Sides and Rarities disc... (the remix album is pretty cool too)...
The more I think about it though when it comes to female singer/songwriters my three favourites would be Patty Griffin, Bjork and Tori Amos (probably in that order)...
Finally though there are a lot of talented female singers based in the UK...
Carina (of course) Thea Gilmore Gemma Hayes Beth Orton Astrid Williamson Emma Rugg Kate Walsh Rosalie Deighton Katie Skilling to name a few

Scarlets walk was great, no tracks from that were on the tales of a librarian album! and I LOVE Sarah rarities album, someone gave it to me for my birthday a coupla years ago, i saw it in HMV for £27 Dear God and Blue....such amazing songs, i think her cover of Blue is just as good, if not better than the original
